Commitment and ecology
Location Switzerland - social commitment:
The production of our handmade urn collection takes place exclusively in Switzerland. With the exception of a few stainless steel objects and specific small parts, natural, ecological and Swiss raw materials and resource-saving materials are used, such as earthenware, ceramic pottery and sustainably regrowing wood from Swiss forests.
The transport routes are extremely short, limited to Switzerland and therefore optimally conserve resources. We send our parcels climate-neutrally with Swiss Post and the ‘pro clima’ label and are committed to purchasing green and solar energy from Energiewerke ewz Zurich.
In addition to working in artists' studios and in small craft businesses, Urne.ch also works with work spaces for people with disabilities. Urne.ch is also a long-standing member of the Swiss Undertaker Association and a certified member of Swiss Label since 2003 and is therefore entitled to adorn itself with the famous SWISS MADE label and to carry it into the world.
This diverse and wide-ranging commitment has also been recognised in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. See also Museum and exhibition presence
Ecological, sustainable
The production location in Switzerland guarantees the highest environmental standards and enables short transport routes. We send our packages in a climate-neutral and environmentally friendly manner.
The wood in our urns comes exclusively from Swiss forests.

Creation – conception – craftsmanship
The creation and conception of fundamentally new objects is demanding and time-consuming. The development of new molded parts places great demands on the craftsmanship of mold makers and manufacturers.
Skills that have become rare are being rediscovered and revived. Individual urns are refined, painted, decorated and individualized by artists.

Social and cultural commitment
We work with workshops for the disabled and companies that pursue the charitable goal of ensuring the professional and social integration of people with psychological problems, disabilities and cognitive limitations.
((Urne.ch also supports cultural and charitable organizations with the culture percentage of its profits.))
