sfera bianca© is a modern urn handmade in Switzerland from stoneware clay, featuring an artistic stripe motif in a glossy gold color. The urn can be permanently sealed or closed in a way that allows it to be reopened.

It is a highly ecological, local, and natural clay urn. It can be placed in a living area as a keepsake of a loved one or in an urn niche (columbarium), and is also generally suitable for burial.

If placed in the ground, an unglazed, relatively thin-walled clay sphere can be expected to develop cracks step by step. Over time, the clay urn will break down into smaller pieces of clay. The urn will thus gradually become part of the soil. The cycle of nature is preserved.

This urn model is available at the Urne.ch studio or can be shipped by post within Switzerland.

IS IT PERMISSIBLE TO PURCHASE A SPECIAL URN YOURSELF?
Yes, it is customary and permissible to purchase an urn for a deceased loved one at your own discretion. If you have chosen a biodegradable, ecological urn, it can be used for burial in a cemetery or in the open countryside. You can place a non-biodegradable urn in your home or outdoors and remember your loved one in a dignified and special way.

For an adult, you can stick to the size specification ‘Standard: 3.5 – 4.5 l’. These volume specifications apply exclusively to the designs and concepts of Urne.ch. As a rule, this is the correct size, regardless of the size, age and weight of the deceased person. For children and young people, you will find a detailed table here.

RELICS AND MEMORIAL URN
You can also keep a small amount of ashes in the small urns and memorial objects as a memento. If you want to scatter the ashes at a special place later, the urn can be kept as a memento.
