Thanks to their larger dimensions and special opening mechanism, yasura ® "jewelry urns" from Switzerland are suitable for holding an ash capsule measuring up to 18 x 23 cm. Almost majestic, solidly built and yet shapely and elegant. This special decorative urn is turned by hand in Switzerland in various versions and designs specifically for the requirements in Germany from valuable and natural Swiss wood. We also make the yasura ® urn from natural pear and maple wood or as a "pillar" specifically for Germany. All "Swiss" models from the yasura ® series are slightly smaller and more compact - but cannot accommodate an ash capsule. With these models, the ashes are placed directly into the urn. This is common practice in Switzerland and can also be possible in Germany at your express request and in consultation with the undertaker and the cemetery administration. Yes, it is customary and permissible to purchase an urn for a deceased loved one at your own discretion. If you have chosen a biodegradable, ecological urn, it can be used for burial in a cemetery or in the open countryside. You can place a non-biodegradable urn in your home or outdoors and remember your loved one in a dignified and special way.

For an adult, you can stick to the size specification ‘Standard: 3.5 – 4.5 l’. These volume specifications apply exclusively to the designs and concepts of Urne.ch. As a rule, this is the correct size, regardless of the size, age and weight of the deceased person. For children and young people, you will find a detailed table here.

RELICS AND MEMORIAL URN
You can also keep a small amount of ashes in the small urns and memorial objects as a memento. If you want to scatter the ashes at a special place later, the urn can be kept as a memento.
